PALESTINE STEW
 
INGREDIENTS:



1 cup THRIVE Lentils

1 cup whole wheat berries (using THRIVE  Wheat)

1 large can tomatoes, chopped (or 1 3/4 cups THRIVE Tomato Powder and 3 ½ cups water)

1 lb. hamburger, browned and drained

1/4 cup THRIVE Chopped Onions

1/4 cup THRIVE Carrot Dices

2 Tbs. THRIVE Brown Sugar

2 Tbs.chili powder or to taste



*To make wheat berries simply cook in crock pot on low over night: 2 cups water to 1 cup of wheat.

PREPARATION:

Cook lentils and wheat until tender in about 3-4 cups of water, about an hour. In a separate pan brown hamburger and chopped onion. Mix remaining ingredients and season to taste. Let simmer an additional ½ hour.
