PREPARATION:
Cook spaghetti noodles in salted water until soft. Drain. Combine warm spaghetti noodles with egg whites, Parmesan, butter and parsley in a medium bowl. Press mixture into pie plate or casserole dish. Heat a skillet over medium heat; add the sausage or hamburger. Cook, stirring frequently until beef is brown and crumbly, about 5 minutes. Drain grease. Stir in tomato sauce; simmer for 5 minutes. Set aside Combine ricotta cheese, egg yolks and ½ cup mozzarella cheese in a medium bowl. Spread on top of spaghetti pie shell. Spread meat mixture over cheese and top with remaining mozzarella cheese. Bake covered with foil for 35 minutes at 350º. Bake an additional 10 minutes uncovered and top with any remaining mozzarella cheese if desired.
